A symbolic piece of furniture of the Bauhaus art movement, the Utrecht armchair created in 1935 by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld owes its name to its designer's home town. Now reissued by Cassina, it stands apart with its frank and efficient geometric forms. For all that, the zigzag seams that cover each armrest and the backrest offer relief to the seat, and give this piece that little bit extra.
A visual detail appreciated by high-end installations, where the Utrecht armchair naturally finds its place to fit out a CEO office, a VIP area or a showroom. Alone or accompanied by the sofa from the same range, the Utrecht armchair will become the central element of the room.
