Designed by Marcel Breuer
The Wassily or B3 armchair, designed in 1925 by Marcel Breuer at the Bauhaus school, is now produced by Knoll.
A landmark of the modernist design movement, it was the first model to be made of steel tubes from the construction industry. Its complex, ingenious structure combines strips of leather to create flat surfaces for the seat, back and armrests. The tubular structure is inspired by that of a bicycle.
Originally designed for the painter Wassily Kandinsky, this armchair heralded the production and standardisation of industrial furniture. Today, this iconic armchair is a piece of character that will underline the uniqueness of your event space. Alone or with a partner, it will be a perfect match for other leather seats or an E1027 sofa.
