Now an icon, the DSW chair (Dining height Side chair Wood) was born in the 50s. On the occasion of the Low Cost Furniture Design competition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Charles and Ray Eames presented the creations of the Plastic Chair Group: a revolution was born in the world of design with a model produced for the first time in large quantities.
Improved over time, the combination of plastic and wood gives the piece a natural and familiar look. With a shell that follows the shape of the human anatomy, it guarantees exceptional comfort, perfectly adapted to long-term sitting. Versatile, the DSW chair can be adapted to different types of furnishing: a restaurant area, an assembly hall or an office corner. Edited by Vitra, our models are original products.
Structure in tinted polypropylene: originally made of fiberglass-reinforced polyester resin, the shell is replaced by polypropylene for ecological reasons.
